Privacy and Legal

Last updated: May 21, 2026

These terms apply to services provided by Relio LLC, the company behind relioengine.com. They cover what the services are, what they don't promise, and how information shared during engagements is handled. By engaging Relio for any service, you agree to the terms below.

Services are advisory

Relio provides professional advisory services — guidance, structure, and informed perspective drawn from a decade of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting operations, and hiring strategy. Services do not constitute legal, financial, tax, accounting, or medical advice. All hiring decisions, career decisions, and business decisions remain with the client or individual receiving services.

No outcome guarantees

Relio does not guarantee specific outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Career coaching: No guarantee of interviews, offers, employment, salary increases, or any specific career outcome. Coaching is a structured conversation, not a placement service. Coaching does not include resume writing or editing on your behalf, candidate placement with employers, or comprehensive financial planning.
  • Consulting engagements (Fractional Head of Talent, Role Rescue, Talent Systems Manager): No guarantee of specific hires, time-to-fill metrics, candidate retention, employee performance, or quantitative results of any kind. Outcomes depend on factors outside Relio's control, including market conditions, internal decision-making, candidate availability, and execution by the client team.
  • Decision Review: A structured evaluation of a hiring decision is not a prediction. Hiring decisions made after the review remain the client's responsibility, and Relio does not warrant that any recommended path will produce a particular result.

Career coaching is not financial planning

Budget conversations during career coaching are general guidance only and do not constitute financial advice. For investment, tax, or retirement planning, consult a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or other licensed professional. Relio is not responsible for outcomes of financial decisions made based on or alongside coaching conversations.

Confidentiality

Information shared during engagements is treated as confidential and used only to deliver the work engaged for. Confidentiality applies in both directions: clients should not share Relio's proprietary methods, frameworks, materials, or written recommendations outside the engagement without written consent. Standard exceptions apply if disclosure is required by law, court order, or to defend Relio against legal claims.

Calls and transcription

Calls and video meetings may be transcribed automatically using AI transcription tools (for example, built-in features of Zoom or Google Meet, or third-party note-takers). When transcription is used, only the resulting text is retained for note-taking and follow-up. No audio or video recording is kept after the meeting ends. If you would prefer a session not be transcribed, let us know before the call begins.

Privacy

Information collected through relioengine.com is limited to what's needed to respond to inquiries and deliver services. This typically includes contact form submissions, emails sent to kate@relioengine.com, scheduling information through Cal.com, and payment information through Stripe. Standard web analytics (anonymous traffic data) may also be collected.

Relio does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Service providers (Stripe for payments, Cal.com for scheduling, Cloudflare for hosting) handle data per their own privacy policies.

Payments

Single-session services (Decision Review, Career Coaching) are paid upfront via Stripe at booking and are non-refundable once the session has been delivered. Retainer engagements (Fractional Head of Talent, Role Rescue, Talent Systems Manager) are governed by the engagement agreement signed at kickoff, which addresses term, notice periods, payment terms, and cancellation specifically.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relio's total liability to a client for any claim arising out of or related to services delivered is limited to the amount paid for those services. Relio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost business, lost opportunities, lost wages, lost employment, or reputational harm.

Intellectual property

Frameworks, processes, written materials, and recommendations Relio provides remain Relio's intellectual property. Clients may use them for their own internal purposes during and after the engagement. Resale, republication, or use as the basis for similar services delivered to others is not permitted without written consent.

Changes

This page may be updated as services evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes affecting active engagements will be communicated directly.
